Crafting a Loving Ending

This meeting will feature Maggie Beaumont who will join us to discuss advance directives, death and dying, and managing loss and grief.

Maggie Beaumont, M.A., has been a chaplain since 2012, first in the emergency room, and then in the cancer center, ICU, and nowadays home hospice. Hospice chaplaincy is less about religion and more about providing a loving space where our patients and families can receive emotional support, review the life that is ending, and get to say what needs to be said. After our patient dies, we offer bereavement support to their family members, which is mostly about educating people about the grieving process and holding them in love during the first stages.

You are invited, even if you haven’t participated before, and even if you are not a senior, since we want to foster intergenerational connection!
